"'Rodeo Man' came pretty innocently," Garth says of the new single. "Ronnie Dunn and I are texting buddies -- we just kind of text back music every now and then. He sent me 'Rodeo Man' and I sent back one word. Just said, 'Smash.'" Brooks adds his favorite part of the project was hearing his own voice next to Ronnie's, knowing he believes Dunn's "might be one of the greatest voices to ever grace Country music."
"What I hope the fans take away from any Garth music, especially 'Rodeo Man,' is fun," he says. "I mean, that's the whole thing. I want 'em to turn it up, and I want 'em to be so pissed off that their radio doesn't go any louder than that! That's the fun part, man. When you get 'em singing along like that and they're going a hundred miles an hour on the highway and not even looking down at their speedometer -- that's when you know you got a fun song."
"Rodeo Man" is one of the new tracks on Garth Brooks' Bass Pro Shops exclusive box set, Time Traveler, set for release on November 7, packed with hits from his legendary career and new music, including his self-produced 14th studio album, as well as 2014’s Man Against Machine, 2016’s Gunslinger, 2020’s Fun, and his 2019 3X Triple Live concert album.
