Miami Northwestern’s Travis McNichols Jr. Has Been An Impact Player This Off Season

Miami Northwestern Defensive Back Travis McNichols Jr. Is Going To Be A Huge Additon For The Bulls

There is a saying that sometimes change does a person good – and for many – it does.

In south Florida, there is so much talent, especially in the defensive secondary, from game to game – month to month, new stars always emerge.

What it comes down to when looking at talent in this region of the country, body of work certainly wins out over a knee-jerk reaction about a performance in shorts and a t-shirt.

While the rest of the state or even country will never understand why these prospects leave, often times it comes down to feeling comfortable and putting themselves in the best position to succeed, but that is not something that many agree with – or understand.

MCNICHOLS PROFILE

PLAYER: Travis McNichols Jr.

POSITION: CB/S

SCHOOL: Miami Northwestern

CLASS: 2021

HEIGHT: 5-10

WEIGHT: 170

SCOUTING: Watching this impressive talent perform the past year at Miami Carol City, there was no getting around the fact that he was special, athletic and instinctive.

Because he has blown up this summer as part of the South Florida Express (SFE) 7-on-7 team, many who haven’t watched him in the past are impressed by what he brings to the table – and by watching his progress and seeing the way he has learned in just the past 6 months – it’s no surprise to see how he is being regarded as the three-time defending state champions got a huge boost with this impressive young man.

What is starting to get him offers is college coaches watching what he did in the past and seeing how much he brings to the table in a very impressive secondary. He is a playmaker who is versatile and always around the ball.

There is no getting around the fact that this is someone who is special and will have an opportunity this coming season to truly showcase his many skills.
