Gunnar Hansen Is Another Offensive Line Prospect Who Is Ready To Breakout

St. Thomas Aquinas is hoping to keep its success going with talented transfer lineman Gunnar Hansen

As we already know, south Florida is starting to be a place that colleges and universities are heading to for linemen.

In the past, it was never like that – and while we always produced some impressive receivers and defensive backs – along with quality linebackers, defensive linemen and linebackers - offensive linemen were never plentiful in this area.

With camps and many former linemen who are now living in this area, as we said in the past, the chance to develop some impressive “big men” is greater than ever before.

HANSEN PROFILE

PLAYER: Gunnar Hansen

POSITION: OL

SCHOOL: Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas

CLASS: 2021

HEIGHT: 6-4

WEIGHT: 300

SCOUTING: Watch this young man’s body of work at Delray American Heritage, and you can see why he is one of the top prospects for the 2020 season.

As many really didn’t pay attention to Hansen’s move south to Fort Lauderdale to play his final year with the defending 7A state champion Raiders, those who watched him perform, knew quite well how impressive he is.

What he brings to this program is a line prospect who says, is technically sound and has attended enough camp events that has gone against some of the best defensive linemen around.

Even at the recent Under Armour event at North Broward Prep, you could see exactly what this young man will bring to this program for the 2020 season. Great feet and plenty of knowledge of the position. He is also a very fast learner.

With amazing talent that he will go up against in the summer at practice and into the season, you can guarantee that head coach Roger Harriott and his coaches will continue to elevate his play.
