By now, if you have followed high school football recruiting in south Florida for any length of time, you already know all about the positions that colleges have long come to this region to check out.
Receivers and defensive backs are a priority for every college and university in the country. The state of Florida offers up as many gifted pass catchers and defensive secondary performers as any place in the nation.
Running backs and linebacker are also positions that are gifted and plentiful, and over the past few years, defensive linemen and interior prospects have stepped up as well.
The one position that has taken some time are offensive linemen. Yes, we have plenty, but not nearly at the rate as other positions – and while there are more camps and much more attention being paid to the big guys up front, it is still taking time to attract colleges from all over the country to head here for players that most states grow at an amazing pace.
Times are changing – and no matter what roster you look at – there are linemen popping up and being showcased more than ever before.
