Things got chippy yesterday in the Dolphins 19-7 win over the Bengals.  Jakeem Grant got hit early while fielding a punt for the second time by Mike Thomas and it was on from there.  The Dolphin sideline had seen enough and went to stand up for their guy.  Leading the charge was Coach Brian Flores who came onto the field and proceeded to let the Bengals sideline know what he thought about the cheap shot.  So what did Joe Rose and Armando Salguero think about the Coach standing up for his team?  They spoke about it on The Joe Rose Show Monday morning.

Salguero said, “As far as the coach is concerned that was awesome, I thought that was great…Flores went across the field to say hey this has got to stop and he said it forcefully…I think it’s a way better look for him to have done that than to be have been the turtle in his shell on the sideline looking the other way or looking into his play sheet.”

Rose said, “I loved it, supporting your players and them being able to see it.  I just think those guys realize more than ever that he has their back.  Jakeem is a spark plug on that team and I saw the reaction from the players after that and they just played at a ridiculous level.  The way they support each other, the comments from the players, it’s something you don’t see a lot.  It’s a big moment, I just thought it was a great move.  Probably going to cost him some money and I think the players appreciate that too.  He’s consistent when he says the players are my family and I think that means a lot."
