The 1972 Miami Dolphins popped the champagne on Monday night after the Steelers fell to Washington 23-17.  That was the first loss of the season for the Steelers and it ensured that for another year the 1972 team’s undefeated season will remain the only one in league history for at least another year.  One of the key members of the undefeated team, Hall of Famer Larry Little joined The Joe Rose Show on Wednesday morning and had some amazing stories to tell about the team.

Little said about the record-holding for another year, “It’s still special now because it’s 40 years since it’s happened.  The only sad part is we have lost so many guys off of that team the last couple of years and they aren’t around to savor this with us.  Losing coach early this year…the guys who are still around this is special to us.”

Larry also had some great locker room stories from the 1972 team which you can hear in the full interview below…
