The big debut is getting closer and closer as we hit hump day today.  Tua is set to make his first NFL start on Sunday when the Dolphins host the Rams.  Tua’s first start has stolen the headlines and all eyes will be on Hard Rock Stadium.  CBS’s Phil Simms joined The Joe Rose Show this morning and the former quarterback offered his thoughts on the rookie quarterback.

Simms said, “I was a little surprised but I do understand it…I think the biggest thing is that the team is ready to play in other words they are ready to protect him, they know what they can do well and what they can’t so everything has settled down.  A lot of things have fallen in place for the Dolphins, offensive line playing better, running backs, and wide receivers…even on the defensive side everything is falling in place so I understand why this is the time they moved Tua in.”

Sunday can’t come soon enough, kickoff is at 1 PM and the game can be heard here on WQAM.
