(670 The Score) Bears rookie cornerback Jaylon Johnson and nickelback Buster Skrine were listed as not practicing Wednesday, leaving their statuses uncertain for a pivotal regular-season finale against the Packers on Sunday.

The Bears held a walk-through Wednesday, meaning the statuses were estimations by the team. Defensive lineman Akiem Hicks (illness) and safety Deon Bush (foot) were also listed as not participating.

Johnson missed the Bears' previous two contests with a right shoulder injury, which he suffered in a win against the Texans on Dec. 13 when he lowered his shoulder on a tackle at the goal line. The injury was to the same shoulder that Johnson had surgically repaired this past offseason.

A second-round pick out of Utah, Johnson started each of the Bears' first 13 games before suffering the injury. Fellow rookie Kindle Vildor has started in place of Johnson at cornerback.

Skrine has missed the last three games due to a concussion. He has a history with concussions that has the Bears concerned with his personal well-being.

"You know you care about him being able to enjoy his kids and his wife more than him being able to be out there and help us on Sunday," secondary coach Deshea Townsend said.

Hicks has missed multiple practices with illnesses unrelated to COVID-19 this season. The Bears have maintained caution with players who are managing illnesses amid the pandemic.

Kickoff between the Bears (8-7) and Packers (12-3) comes Sunday at 3:25 p.m. CT from Soldier Field. Chicago will clinch a playoff berth with a win.
