(670 The Score) Bears star outside linebacker Khalil Mack is active against the Texans on Sunday.

Mack previously dealt with knee and back issues this season before his setback with his shoulder. He has 6.5 sacks this season but none since Nov. 1.

"He's had some (injuries), but he plays through it," defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano said of Mack. "I'm not saying that it doesn't bother guys. Other than the first day of training camp when you show up, you're never going to feel that good. Not until the season's over, you got time to recover and get your body back right, then it starts all over again. But it happens because he plays so damn hard, so relentless.

"He gets himself right by Sunday, goes out there and does it all over again, and then finds himself a way to get healed up and go out there next Sunday."

The Bears' other inactives were cornerback Buster Skrine (concussion), linebacker James Vaughters (knee), tackle Lachavious Simmons and defensive tackle Daniel McCullers.

The Texans ruled out receiver Brandin Cooks (foot, neck). With receivers Randall Cobb (injured reserve) and Will Fuller (suspension) also out, quarterback Deshaun Watson will be relying on Keke Coutee as his top target.

Kickoff between the Bears (5-7) and Texans (4-8) comes at noon Sunday from Soldier Field.
