It’s not an easy job being an NFL ref, especially when footballs are flying at your head.

In a rather humorous moment during Sunday’s Detroit Lions-Dallas Cowboys game, official Adrian Hill was bonked in the head with a football while announcing a holding penalty against Detroit.

Lions running back Jamaal Williams appeared to be the one who threw the football, which was seemingly an accident as Williams rushed over to Hill to make sure he was okay.

Hill, ever the professional, finished announcing the call with a smile on his face as he shook it off.

The refs all seemed to agree it was accidental, since there was no additional penalty for nailing the official in the head with a football.

Obviously, fans on social media all had a good laugh about it.
