The Damian Lillard trade sweepstakes is over and with an unexpected winner.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Wednesday that Lillard was headed to the Milwaukee Bucks in a three-team deal with the Phoenix Suns.

Portland receives Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, Milwaukee’s 2029 unprotected first-round pick and Milwaukee swap rights in 2028 and 230.

Phoenix receives Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little and Keon Johnson.

Lillard had long been linked to the Miami Heat throughout the offseason and WQAM’s Hochman and Crowder found out live on the air that their team would not be adding the All-Star guard.

“Woj messes up sometimes, right?” asked Channing Crowder.

“What is going on here? What is going on here!” asked Marc Hochman. “Milwaukee?!”

The trade pairs Lillard, a seven-time All-Star, with two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo as the Bucks look to return to the NBA Finals after getting ousted by the Miami Heat in a first-round upset last year.

Meanwhile, the Heat are left still searching another star-studded piece to place alongside Jimmy Butler.

Butler even took to Instagram Live and accused the Bucks of tampering.

The Nets, Raptors, Celtics and Magic had also reportedly been interested in Lillard.
