Mike Trout has a message for…Micah Parsons?
The Dallas Cowboys linebacker was at Wednesday’s Texas Rangers-Los Angeles Angels game to throw out the first pitch and after the game the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year got a chance to meet the three-time AL MVP.
Trout, a die-hard Eagles fan, signed a bat for Parsons and included a little message for him. It read: “Micah, take it easy on the birds!”
Last year, the Cowboys won the NFC East rather easily, finishing three games ahead of Trout’s Eagles and beating them both times.
Parsons played in the first matchup (the Cowboys rested their starters the second time they met in Week 18) and finished with four tackles, one for a loss, a half sack and one pass defensed in a 41-21 victory.
The rookie out of Penn State would conclude the season with 13 sacks, 84 tackles, 20 for losses, three passes defensed and three forced fumbles.
For Trout’s sake, he hopes to be playing in the ALCS when the two teams meet again in Week 6 in Philadelphia, otherwise he’ll probably be in attendance at the game.
And something tells us Parsons may not take Trout’s advice when that time comes.
