As another disappointing Atlanta Falcons season is winding down, the team is finding itself in unfamiliar territory as a few high-money key players on the offensive side aren’t performing to the level of the past. Dukes & Bell talked about where this team might be next year and could we see new faces in key positions on the offensive side of the ball?
Carl talked about the Falcons being at a crossroads they haven’t been in a while.
“If you think that you can’t win games because of your quarterback that’s a problem in the NFL. And when your quarterback can’t do the things you want him to do or that he use to be able to do, then you have a problem,” Dukes said. “We are at a crossroads in our organization that we haven’t been in a very long time.
"Thomas Dimitroff was here since 2008. Dan Quinn had been here going on six years. Obviously, we had success with Mike Smith, but the fact is to change both of those key positions we hadn’t done that since 2008.
“Now you also have two aging stars that you’re paying a lot of money. This is not a conversation anybody wants to have, but it’s one that has to be had because it’s about the future and where this organization is going.”
