Former Falcon Harry Douglas joined Dukes & Bell and talked about what kind of philosophy the next Head Coach of the Atlanta Falcons needs to have for the team to be successful.
Douglas talked about the kind of philosophy the next Coach of the Falcons should have.
“Somebody from the jump who is going to be the most physical team on both sides of the ball.” Douglas said “I’m starting with the offense because the lack of run game and what the Falcons love to do offensively the lack of run game hurts that tremendously. I heard someone say the Falcons are a better pass blocking team than they are run blocking, that’s not a compliment. I don’t want nobody saying that about my football team, because everything starts with the run when you look at this offense.”
“I feel like from day one they need have to have that mindset, we’re going to impose our will, we’re going to be the tougher team. I want defenders head on a swivel every time a ball carrier has the football, a play is never over until the referee blows that whistle.”
