Heading into the Monday night's matchup with the San Francisco 49ers this past week in Glendale, Arizona, Howard Simon was feeling worried about the Buffalo Bills' chances in his Week 13 edition of "Howard Picks the Bills". In fact, he picked the 49ers to beat the Bills, sending Buffalo to 8-4 on the 2020 season.
In the end, all that worry was for naught.
Instead, the Bills put up, arguably, their most complete game of the year in a 34-24 win on the road to remain one game ahead of the Miami Dolphins in the AFC East race.
Josh Allen was outstanding from start-to-finish for the Bills, going 32-of-40 in the air for 375 yards and tossing four touchdown passes along the way. He connected with four different receivers for touchdowns on the night, en route to his third AFC Offensive Player of the Week nod of the season. Allen becomes the first player in franchise history to earn the Offensive Player of the Week honor three times in one season.
Up next for the Bills is another prime time game on Sunday night, as Buffalo welcomes the Pittsburgh Steelers to Bills Stadium in Orchard Park. The Steelers are coming off their first loss of the season this past Monday to the Washington Football Team in Pittsburgh.
With a win over the Steelers this week, the Bills would have a chance to clinch a playoff berth with some extra help around the NFL. Buffalo would also needed losses from the Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders, and a loss or tie from the New England Patriots in order to punch its ticket to the postseason.
With the Bills coming off, maybe, their most impressive performance of the 2020 season, Howard is feeling very good about the final four games of the campaign. Not only does he have the Bills coming away victorious over the Steelers on Sunday night, but he has Buffalo wrapping up the AFC East in Week 15 against the Denver Broncos, winning out the rest of the season, while also picking the team to reach the AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs!
