Super Bowl Champion and current CBS NFL Analyst Bryant McFadden stopped by “Dukes & Bell” for his weekly appearance and discussed Julio Jones’ playing time for the rest of the season being partially determined by a lingering hamstring injury.
“The hamstring is tricky; the hamstring is basically what took me out of my career. I feel like if this is something that he can play through and not make it worse, then go out and fight with the rest of your teammates. But you can’t determine a hamstring injury, you can make it worse.” McFadden said
McFadden added that the balance of finishing the season strong and protecting your long-term future is not an easy choice.
“Me, personally, I think it’s up to Julio and the medical staff to say ‘hey we’re playing to finish the season?’ Correct. But we don’t have anything we’re playing for. So you don’t want to put yourself and the organization in harm’s way and make this injury worse than it already is.
