Bills should look to slow down Dolphins' offense

The winner of this contest gets to 2-0 and holds down first place in the AFC East

Miami Gardens, Fla. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills will look to go 2-0 on the young season when they travel to South Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins on "Thursday Night Football".

To do that, here are my three keys to the game, plus notes and stats:

1.) Slow down the Dolphins

The Dolphins offense brings a ton of speed. They have it everywhere, from wide receivers to running backs.

With that, they can score from anywhere on the field, and at any time. They’ll be looking to get the ball to those fast playmakers.

The Bills will need to make them work for everything they get, and not give up free, big plays. Every snap they force Miami to take is another chance to make a defensive play.

2.) Josh be Josh

Bills quarterback Josh Allen has completely dominated the Miami Dolphins over his seven years in Buffalo. He’s accounted for 41 total touchdowns with just 13 turnovers.

Miami has a new defensive coordinator, Anthony Weaver, who will, no doubt, have some wrinkles to try and stop Allen. If the Bills signal-caller can continue to play even close to the level he has against their AFC rival, it will go a long way towards a victory.

3.) Clean it up

The Bills made far too many mistakes in their opening weekend win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Nine penalties, one of which cost a touchdown. Four false starts - at home! A sack and fumble. A touchdown given up on a kick return.

The Bills have to clean those things up, especially on the road, or the Dolphins will have a terrific shot of sending them back to Buffalo with a loss.
