It felt almost too good to be true on Wednesday. Xavien Howard arrives to day 1 of Dolphins camp. The biggest question looming over the organization ahead of their 2021 season was answered: X is not going to hold out.
Fast forward a few hours and a social media post from Xavien Howard changed that. It was too good to be true - because when it comes to the Dolphins, there is never any shortage of drama or controversy.
After a remarkable 10-interception season, Xavien Howard shared his displeasure with his current deal and is requesting a trade, publicly, because of the Dolphins inability to comply with his request.
Former Dolphins LB Channing Crowder, now host of Hochman and Crowder in Miami, supports Howard and wants to see him get paid.
“I think Xavien is right and I believe Xavien is playing this correctly,” says Crowder. “Give your best player on your team the money … make this man happy.”
