CBS 4’s Mike Cugno covers all sports but starts off with Hurricanes Football and Mario Cristobal saying, “I do not think he has had a day off since being introduced and he has brought up the recruiting class.”

He is optimistic about The Canes’ future saying, “I think Miami particularly with NIL could be back as big recruiters.”

Last night in the NBA Draft The Heat picked 6”11’ 228 pound power forward Nikola Jovic, which did not surprise Cugno.  He claims, “I thought they would go for length and size.”

On Jovic, Cugno states, “I think it is a good pick.”

When it comes to The Heat rumors continue to say that all-stars are interested in playing in Miami.  Kyrie Irving is one of the names that lists Miami as a possible destination but when asked if he will come here, Cugno says, “I do not know if it is realistic but I like that top tier guys want to come here.”

Finishing up on The Kyrie Topic, Cugno claims, “I would stay out of the Kyrie Irving sweepstakes.”

Finally, when it comes to The Marlins, pitcher Sandy Alcantara has been lights out.  Cugno claims, “It really reminds me of Jose Hernandez, when he was pitching there was a lot more eyeballs.”

He claims, “Sandy Days are good days.”
