Detroit, Mich. (WGR 550) - The Miami Dolphins bolster their pass rush in Round 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft with the selection of edge rusher Chop Robinson with the 21st overall selection.
The Penn State University product spent the last two collegiate seasons in College Station, Pennsylvania, where he racked up 41 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, three passes defended and three fumble recoveries.
The 21-year-old native of Gaithersburg, Maryland started his collegiate career with the University of Maryland, where he collected 19 total tackles and two sacks as a Freshman before transferring.
Robinson now joins a Dolphins pass rush group that includes Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb and newcomer Shaq Barrett. However, the first two players are battling back from difficult season-ending injuries last year with Phillips suffering a torn Achilles and Chubb going down with a torn ACL.
