Another report out of Houston Thursday indicates yet again how the Deshaun Watson era is winding down for the Texans.
ESPN NFL Insider Dan Graziano tweeted: Per sources, Texans QB Deshaun Watson met with new Texans head coach David Culley last Friday. In that meeting Watson reiterated that he wants to be traded and told Culley he has no intention of playing for the Texans again.
Reports have linked the Miami Dolphins as a potential landing spot for Watson and since the 25-year-old has a no-trade-clause, he will have a say in where he ends up.
Former Dolphins LB Channing Crowder thinks the Texans are making a mistake by not taking trade offers on Deshaun.
"The Texans can capitalize on Deshaun Watson now. If it gets to the point where he is not playing, they're not going to get what they can get today for him."
Hoch read a potential trade scenario between the Dolphins and Texans written by NBC Sports Peter King. The proposal: Miami trades Tua Tagovailoa, Christian Wilkins, both 1st round picks in 2021, 1st round picks in 2023, 2nd round picks in 2021 and 2022. All of this for Deshaun Watson.
Hoch doesn't see a situation where the Texans turn that offer down.
Both Hoch and Crowder believe it would be worth the haul if it means Deshaun Watson would be the Miami Dolphins QB.
