Former Panther Ed Jovanovski is watching The Stanley Cup Finals between Tampa Bay and Colorado and watched last night’s game saying, “Tampa was the better team early on.”
Jovanovski sees this series tightening up saying, “We could possibly see this series tied up after the next game.”
He played many playoff games even one that ended in The Stanley Cup Finals and he says both teams are powering through claiming, “You are tired but you have that extra juice because you are right there.”
He adds, “Gretzky said in the playoffs you go in the locker room after a game and everyone has ice packs on.”
Players just do not want to come out of games, Jovanovski says, “You want to be a part of it and you will do anything to play.”
So when do the players start hating each other in a Stanley Cup Finals? Jovanovski states, “Immediately, you are playing for The Holy Grail.”
The Lightning look to even the series with The Avalanche tomorrow night at 8.
