Year two for Tua Tagovailoa in Miami is off to an ideal start.
The Dolphins QB claims his hip feels great, he will have a new offense implemented this offseason and perhaps most importantly, Ryan Fitzpatrick is no longer in a Dolphins jersey.
The locker room in Davie appears to be embracing the former Alabama QB as "the guy" under center this season, with teammate Mike Gesicki even giving an impassioned defense of his QB.
Thursday, Dolphins reporter Safid Deen told the Hochman and Crowder Show he felt Tua was feeling more comfortable stepping into a leadership role this offseason.
Deen also notes how much stronger Tua has gotten this offseason and how he has worked a lot on his body "if ways he couldn't do last year at this time because he was coming off of his hip injury."
