Former Michigan head coach and part of the developmental team on The Detroit Pistons Jim Beilein coached Duncan Robinson in college but did he foresee his success in The NBA, he says, “This magnitude? No way.”
Beilein can explain Robinson’s development saying, “If given time and you have the personality and preparation, you can develop.”
There are other factors propelling Robinson in Beilein’s opinion, he claims, “He went to the perfect place because they did not see where he was at but where he wanted to be and pride themselves in getting you there.”
Back to Robinson’s attitude, Beilein says, “He has an incredible attitude of gratitude, he answers every text.”
Now can The Heat compete and win The East? Beilein says, “The ball has to bounce your way sometimes, so it should be interesting to see if Miami gets some bounces.”
Miami and Atlanta get the ball bouncing in Game 3 of their Playoff series Friday at 7 p.m.
