Knick great Charles Oakley remembers his heyday and how The Heat fit into it but does not have much animosity saying, “I did not look at it as hate, I just did not care too much about them.”

He adds, “It did get heated on the court but at the end of the day somebody had to lose.”

When it comes to his former coach Pat Riley, Oakley says, “I had no problem with Pat, he was a straight shooter.”

On his time in New York, Oakley says, “The Garden is The Garden, The Mecca, The Fans.”

Oakley does not like today’s NBA so much saying, “If my teammates did load management, I would not like it.”

He is not all New York though, Oakley loves Miami especially the food saying, “Prime 112 and the Italian place down the block is great.”

Finally he touches on his new book “The Last Enforcer” saying, “My book is about engagement.  There are 30 some odd stories and they are all about engagement.”

Charles Oakley’s book is out and full of stories, pick it up today.
