Heat Lifer Grant Long is now an announcer for The Pistons who Miami plays tonight. Although he now works in Detroit, Long still has love for The 305 saying, "Miami is where I cut my NBA teeth."
He remembers his time in South Florida fondly stating, "It was outstanding the fan support we had."
Long still sees himself on this Heat roster saying, "You have a guy who is basically me reincarnated in Udonis Haslem."
When it is suggested to him that his number be retired by the organization, Long responds, "I am going to take it a step further that Glen Rice should be in the hall of fame."
Although Duncan Robinson is having a tough season so far, Long is optimistic stating, "I think his best years are in front of him."
As far as the fight the other night between LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart, Long says, "That was quiet the dust up, I am glad it did not get any worse."
Now focusing on The Heat, Long really believes in this team saying, "They are a championship caliber team, I say that because Jimmy Butler literally does make everyone on the team better."
Miami vs. Detroit is tonight at 7 p.m.
