Former Sun Eddie Johnson recently took some shots at Heat Culture but feels it should not be taken too seriously stating, "That's the beautiful part about sports because if you know how to separate it, it is never personal."
Some players have been taking chants and criticism personal lately, Johnson understands why saying, "I think most of the guys have come up over the past 20 years are soft, because we have grown up in a yes, yes culture."
As far as Russell Westbrook getting a lot of bad chants and jeers, Johnson says, "When do we get to a point where we say technical knockout, it is almost like they want to run him out of the league."
Johnson also adds that fans are not immune claiming, "With the environment we have now with Covid and everything, people almost feel anointed to heckle players."
There are still some tough guys though, Johnson says, "Bam Adebayo and Devin Booker do not play."
Johnson learned to be tough from the best saying, "Larry Bird asked me, are you really going to do this to me? I am going to wear you out and he did."
Tonight it is top teams in The East and West when The Heat face The Suns and Johnson adds, "WE have not forgotten what you did to us."
He feels Phoenix overlooked Miami earlier in the season but also looks down the road claiming, "Hopefully, we will see each other in The Finals."
Should be a monster battle.
