ESPN’s Israel Gutierrez had Boston winning The NBA Championship in 6 but had to step it back but admits, “Boston was the better team for a part of the series.”
Eventually Golden State won out in six games and Steph Curry had a big final game on the way to series MVP, Gutierrez says of the final game for Curry, “I think it was a good cherry on top.”
Jayson Tatum had a less than impressive Finals leading Gutierrez to wonder, “If Miami would have won, Jayson Tatum’s reputation would be better now.”
Even though the season just ended but Gutierrez is already predicting who will win next year saying, “I would put it on The Warriors.”
Finally, most years The Finals have been exciting except for a few Kevin Durant was involved in but Gutierrez does not blame him saying, “He should not get heat for making seasons boring, he should get credit.”
The offseason is here but Miami probably will not be quiet for long.
