The quarterback position for the Miami Hurricanes has been a hot-button topic in 2023.
Tyler Van Dyke, who was much maligned, threw 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while taking most of Miami's snaps. He announced his decision to leave Miami and entered the transfer portal with a year of eligibility remaining.
Emory Williams was a solid backup, going 44-for-71 with three touchdowns and a pick while seeing action in five games. Fans have been screaming for him to take over as QB1 for some time now.
Recently, reports have stated Jacurri Brown, who red-shirted the 2023 season, will start in Miami's bowl game.
What does this mean for next season? Is Miami set with Williams and Brown in the Hurricanes quarterback room? Former UM QB Malik Rosier joined Zach on Krantz's Korner to talk about the QB position for the Canes from the Bowl game to opening day 2024.
"I would be very surprised if they (UM) didn't bring in a QB, but I think if Jacurri (Brown) can play a lot better," Rosier said to Krantz. ... "They are not in a frantic mode where they have to go find someone, but I am very interested to see how Jacurri does because the bowl game is going to be very big for him."
