Golf Expert Jonathan Coachman simply explains what the new Saudi Arabia funded LIV Golf Tour is all about saying, “They are trying to make their country a destination to play golf and live life.”
He explains, “They have a $5 billion salary.”
Although they are offering big money Coachman has reservations saying, “Outside of Bryson Dechambeau it is a bunch of older over the hill players.”
If you are wondering where you can catch The LIV action, Coachman says, “There is no TV deal, you can only watch it on Youtube.”
Despite being paid big bucks, Coachman says of the players who signed deals with LIV, “All the players look miserable.”
Coachman feels money is not everything in golf stating, “They have chosen money over playing against the best of their profession.”
Tiger Woods got an offer but turned it down because he had other interests, Coachman says, “For Tiger it was an easy no despite offering almost a billion dollars.”
Will LIV thrive? Will The PGA survive? Time will tell.
