A notion that shouldn't surprise you... college kids change their minds, a lot. A college sports world that includes big NIL deals and a transfer portal tends to exacerbate indecisiveness.

Carson Beck has decided to enter the transfer portal, according to Pete Nakos of On3, who broke the news on the social media platform X. This comes just shortly after Beck declared his intent to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.

Now that Beck is staying in school, which campus will he be attending?

Nakos lists Miami, Texas Tech, and Ohio State as front-runners. Rusty Mansell joined Dukes & Bell Thursday and explained why Miami could be the answer.

"Cam Ward declared for the draft and Miami talked him out it," Mansell said. "When you look at this, I think it's Miami. I don't know that 100 percent, but everything would make sense. His girlfriend goes there, he's a Florida kid.

"They [Miami] have missed on like three of their major targets at quarterback. And if you don't think they didn't come to him and go 'Look, Cam Ward might be the No. 1 pick. He probably is going to be the No. 1 pick if they don't trade it.' I'm sure they came to Carson and said you've got time to rehab, we know what you can do."
