MLB disciplines Tony La Russa, Mike Wright for plunking Shohei Ohtani

The Chicago White Sox were without manager Tony La Russa on Saturday night after Major League Baseball announced it had suspended him one game after pitcher Mike Wright hit Angels star Shohei Ohtani in the ninth inning on Thursday night.

Wright was suspended three games for the incident, although he is appealing the decision. La Russa was also fined an undisclosed amount.
