PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Pitt got a transfer earlier this year from Maryland and receiver/returner DJ Turned ended up First Team All-ACC. Thursday, Pitt got another from the Terps, this time an offensive lineman.
Junior Marcus Minor is 6’4”, 310 and started three games for Maryland this year at right tackle. He has 17 career starts including one at right guard.
Minor is a former four-star recruit out of DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, MD and rated the sixth best guard in the nation as a senior. A two-time Academic All-Big 10, Minor graduated from Maryland recently, so he is immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.
Panthers will lose center Jimmy Morrissey off the offensive line for 2021 along with left guard Bryce Hargrove. Both would be eligible to return next year but have said they will enter the NFL Draft.
Panthers have a pair of juniors who started most games last year at tackle, Upper St. Clair native Gabe Houy at right and Carter Warren at left.
