(SportsRadio 610) -- The Texans are interviewing ESPN Monday Night Football analyst Louis Riddick for their general manager opening, according to NFL insiders Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen
Riddick is interviewing for the position Wednesday, then is scheduled to interview for the same position with the Detroit Lions on Friday, Schefter reported.
Riddick last worked in an NFL front office in 2013, when he was the Philadelphia Eagles' director of pro personnel for three years. In the two years prior, Riddick was a pro scout and assistant director of pro personnel for the Eagles.
The Washington Football Team employed Riddick as a pro scout from 2001-2004 before promoting him to director of pro personnel from 2005-2007.
This is Riddick's first season as an analyst for MNF.
The Texans have been without a general manager since firing Bill O'Brien, who doubled up as the head coach, in October.
O'Brien became the general manager after the Texans fired Brian Gaine in June 2019, who held the post for just over a year.
