
NBC Sports announced on Tuesday its telecast schedule for games during the duration of the NHL's 2020-21 regular season.
As part of the telecast schedule, the Buffalo Sabres will be featured three times on the NBC network of channels - twice on NBC, and once on NBC Sports Network.
Buffalo's first telecast on NBC comes on Sunday, March 7 when the team heads on the road to face the New York Islanders. The other NBC telecast featuring the Sabres comes on Saturday, April 17 against the Pittsburgh Penguins at KeyBank Center.
Meanwhile on Wednesday, March 24, the Sabres will be featured on NBCSN as part of Wednesday Night Hockey when the team faces the Penguins at PPG Paints Arena.
The rest of Buffalo's 53 regular season games will be telecast, as usual, on MSG Network.
As part of NBC's announcement on Tuesday, the network announced its lineup for opening night of the 2020-21 NHL season on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
The season will open with a triple-header on NBCSN, starting with the Penguins heading to Philadelphia to face the Flyers at 5:30 p.m. EST. Then at 8 p.m. EST, the Tampa Bay Lightning will lift its 2020 Stanley Cup banner to the rafters at Amalie Arena prior to a matchup with the Chicago Blackhawks. The finally at 10:30 p.m. EST, the network will feature the Colorado Avalanche hosting the St. Louis Blues at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
