Taysom Hill reportedly took first-team reps at Saints practice earlier this week, but head coach Sean Payton remained coy on whether or not he would get the start over Trevor Siemian on Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys.
“We’ll see,” Payton told reporters. “Yeah, we’ll see. We want to see how Taysom is doing tomorrow. Obviously, we’re trying to get him back off this foot. It’ll be he or Trevor.”

Payton is referring to Hill’s foot injury that kept him out of last week’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Siemian has been the Saints starting quarterback the last four weeks since Jameis Winston sustained a season-ending ACL tear.
The Saints have yet to win a game with Siemian under the center, although the team has been decimated with injuries throughout the roster.
They will look to get back on track against a Cowboys team that has lost three of their last four and is dealing with a COVID outbreak.
