More important than anything else in this article is that Swedish pop act Ace of Base never released a song called "I Saw The Sign." It's just like how Bob Marley never released a song titled "Don't Worry About a Thing," or how The Who never published a song with the name "Teenage Wasteland," or other fallacies like how, for some wild reason, a handful of people assume that Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull were names of individual people. They weren't.

Now that that's out of the way, we can get into why on earth we're talking about "The Sign," a 1993 hit from the aforementioned Ace of Base that topped the American charts for a whole long time in 1994. Remember how the Astros were in the center of a massive sign-stealing scandal? Though that didn't mean that they were accused of plagiarizing and taking from the Ace of Base hit, the song can still be used to play mind games on the team and/or players who were once a part of that franchise. In early April, the Oakland A's played "The Sign" while the Astros' lineup was getting introduced.

However, Josh Reddick isn't on the 2021 Astros, and one of his current division rivals wanted to make sure he didn't escape the same trolling that his former teammates experienced. Thus, Dodgers organist Dieter Ruehle made sure to give the Los Angeles fans what they wanted to hear.

How did that at-bat go for Reddick? A strikeout swinging. Perhaps the song paid off, though it didn't look as though he cared or even realized what was being played based off of the video above. It was a rough day overall for Reddick, who went 0-4 with two strikeouts in his 2021 debut. And the Dodgers fans were probably happy to see that, considering they were ruthlessly booing him the whole day.

We don't have to wait too long until Houston and Los Angeles face off, with the Dodgers coming down south for a two-game series on May 25-26. However, expect the real fireworks to fly when the Astros have to travel to Dodger Stadium on August 3-4, and if you thought the fans' and organist's treatment of Reddick was rough, you might want to brace yourself for a whole new level of hostility for that series.
