HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Texans safety Eric Murray has been placed on the reserve-COVID-19 list, the team announced Sunday morning.
Murray becomes the team's second player to be placed on the list leading up to Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals at NRG Stadium. Outside linebacker Whitney Mercilus is also on the reserve COVID list after a positive test.
To replace Murray, who often plays cornerback for the Texans, the team elevated cornerback Anthony Chesley from the practice squad to the active roster.
The Texans will also be without cornerback Phillip Gaines, who has missed the last two games with a knee injury.
