HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Texans outside linebacker Whitney Mercilus is on the reserve-COVID-19 list for the second time this season.
Mercilus recently tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Houston Chronicle. The Texans announced Mercilus was placed on the reserve-COVID list on Friday.
Earlier in the season, Mercilus spent time on the list as a high-risk close contact to fellow outside linebacker Jacob Martin, who tested positive in November before the Texans' second game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Mercilus has four sacks and seven quarterback hits this season after signing a four-year, $54 million contract extension, which included $28.5 million guaranteed.
