With the Falcons on the search for a new head coach and GM, what is the most important thing the team does this offseason? Dukes & Bell talked about what they think the No. 1 priority that the team gets right this offseason.
Carl talked about the environment being extremely important for the team moving forward.
“The environment is jacked; it’s why you feel the way you do,” Dukes said. “The example I’m going to give you is as a child growing if you’re in a loving caring, parents show you how to be compassionate, kind, probably the kind of individual you’re going to be. I’m saying this generally speaking to say environment matters, environment matters in sports. So when talking about the Falcons this is what has to change, you can’t change all 53 players.
“I don’t think changing just a couple players will make a difference. How many players have the Jets in the last decade gone through? How many quarterbacks have they drafted thinking that just one or two changes will make a difference? The problem with the Jets is their environment. Their environment isn’t productive enough to create a winning culture. We had it and when we lost it, Dan Quinn didn’t know how to get it back.”
