Our Companions April Pets of the Month - GeeBee and Charlie!

Susan Linker visits with Mike and Mary in the Morning!

GeeBee
Our Companions

Susan Linker from Our Companions pops in with two adorable pets looking for fur-ever homes. Let's meet them!
GeeBee was a friendly orange and white stray, around 4 years old, who is now thriving as an indoor kitty! He is kooky, delightful, and is looking to be the King of his Castle in a true forever home! GeeBee loves to snuggle with his humans, he is social with visitors, and even has a signature move where he rubs on your legs then slides on the floor to show you his belly – his own version of the GeeBee Slide! Since he is still learning to interact as a pet companion, we think he would appreciate being an only pet in an older teen/adult home. He has some residual issues from his life on the streets; his cute floppy ear can be prone to ear infections and may never stand up straight (but could it be any cuter?). He also has a bit of a limp from an old injury but that doesn’t slow him down from being a fun, active cat! Geebee is FIV positive but cats with FIV can still live long, happy, normal lives in a safe, nurturing, indoor environment. He is negative for FeLV, he is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and neutered. If you’re looking to add a cute character like GeeBee to your home, please contact Our Companions at 860-242-9999 or email Helpline@OurCompanions.org!

Charlie is a young (1 ½ yrs) lab mix with teenage energy! He loves a running in the yard, loves balls and frisbees. There is not a toy that he has found that he does not like- so far squeaky toys are faves. The best time of the day is when he is with his people and especially when it is meal time-he is a lab after all! While his exubrance is charming, he can be too much energy for young children. In his excitement, he has been known to unintentionally bowled them over! Charlie would do best in an active home with children over 10. Being a young man, he also needs some help with manners and we can help with that! Our Companions has positive based classes that we'd love to have him join! If he was asked what his dream home would be he would say a fenced in yard would be nice but lots of walks would work, maybe another dog that is his size, a family that loves the outdoors as much as he does! He is crate trained and stays in his crate when alone, he is presently 45 obs, 1 ½ years old. His parents were a black lab and a poodle so he is a labradoodle but does shed.
