Susan Linker from Our Companions pops in to see Mike and Mary and brings Champion and Sammie looking for their fur-ever homes. Let's meet them!
Champion the dog could certainly win gold medals for his cuddles and for happiest personality! He’s the type of dog who greets each day with joy and excitement! He is 5.5 years old and is quite the unique mix of dog breeds with his tall stature and striking fur. Champion is great with people and loves to make new human friends. Champion has excelled in his dog training too, of course! He is a large dog with a high prey drive when he is out in a yard or on a walk, which we manage through positive reinforcement tools to keep his focus on his humans! Continued training would be a bonus for Champ and his new family! Champ would love a big fenced in yard in a rural location and would like to be the only all-star in your home, no other pets or small children please! Sammie was found as a stray in a community cat colony. A woman close by was feeding the colony and noticed sweet, social Sammie. She wanted to bring him to her home, but her resident cat preferred to be an only pet. The woman reached out to Our Companions to help find a place for Sammie. We welcomed Sammie to our Sanctuary in January of 2024, estimated to be around 3 years old. In such a short time, Sammie has been very friendly and affectionate to his new friends. We recently posted him up for adoption in hopes to find his fur-ever family where he can continue having fun and loving life! www.ourcompanions.org
