Enjoy Bunny Cuddles and Cookies at Lyman Orchards Saturday 10am-2pm at Lyman Orchards, 32 Reeds Gap Road, Middlefield. Come to the Apple Barrel to cuddle with the bunnies from Circle K Petting Farm! There might even be a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny!  There will also be a cookie decorating workshop inside the Apple Barrel bakery! Pre-registration is required for the workshop.

Go for a trolley or train ride this weekend and meet the Easter Bunny at:

The Connecticut Trolley Museum in East Windsor, The Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven or the Railroad Museum of New England in Thomaston.

You can also hunt for Easter eggs at The Olde Mistick Village, where families can explore and go shopping throughout the village while collecting candy-filled Easter eggs. And Roaring Brook Nature Center in Canton, which is hosting a special animal nest and egg scavenger hunt for families this weekend.
Also, the Adventure Parks in Storrs and Bridgeport are hosting Easter egg scavenger hunts high up in the trees.

Take a ride on the Bushnell Park Carousel Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm.  $2 per ride.

Six Flags New England is open for the season weekends and boasts the largest array of improvements in over a decade.  There will be mobile phone food ordering and a new app, single rider lines to shorten waits on popular attractions and increased seating areas including shady spots.  The park will be open weekends for now with the Water Park opening May 28th and 7 day a week operations beginning June 18th.  Admission is $79.99 at the gate.  $69.99 for kids.  Discounts are available online in advance, depending on which days.  www.sixflags.com

Connecticut’s beer scene boasts more than 120 operational breweries, with more expected to open throughout this year.  Many breweries in the state feature unique taprooms and experiences visitors can enjoy. Here are just a few spots to consider:

Stony Creek Brewery in Branford, which is located directly on the scenic Branford River and features a two-level patio with outdoor seating. The brewery also hosts live music nearly every weekend.

There’s also Velvet Libations in Wolcott, a brand new 60s-themed, retro taproom. The brewery offers sour and barrel-aged beer styles and variety of food options.

Visit Norbrook Farm Brewery in Colebrook, featuring food trucks, cozy indoor and outdoor seating, a disc golf course, and hiking and mountain biking trails all onsite.

And Bank & Bridge Brewing in Mystic, is a laid-back brewery that is located in a former bank at the center of downtown Mystic. Its features indoor and outdoor seating, weekly events, and delicious beer and food options.

Or, if you’re looking for non-alcoholic options, there’s also Athletic Brewing in Stratford. It features different kinds of non-alcoholic craft beer made with high-quality, all-natural ingredients and was just recognized as one of TIME’s "most influential companies of 2022.”

Here are some great ways to get outside and enjoy spring in Connecticut:

The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport has opened for the season with ziplines and climbing.

Check out Covered Bridge Electric Bike in West Cornwall to explore the beautiful Northwest Hills. They offer electric bike rentals that range from 2 hours to a full day.

Hike a noteworthy trail in any of Connecticut’s 110 state parks and 32 state forests. There is also the Last Green Valley, a national heritage corridor spanning 26 towns in Eastern Connecticut. It’s annual “Spring Outdoors” program featuring walks and other outdoor events.  The Appalachian Trail, which runs through Kent. It’s one of the few long flat parts of the famous trail and it provides ample opportunities to enjoy natural beauty and spot wildlife. If outdoor art walks are more your vibe visit The Knowlton in Bridgeport featuring an outdoor mural park with magnificent, photo-worthy creations by Connecticut area artists.

Also, the Wall to Wall Mural Walk in New London, featuring 16 murals, drawings and other large-scale installations throughout the city.
