Little Poland Festival returns to New Britain Sunday 11am to 7pm.  After a two year hiatus, the Polonia Business Association is bringing the Little Poland Festival back. With leaping folk dancers, live music, mouth watering food, rides, costumed characters and over 100 vendors, the Little Poland Festival has become the largest Polish Cultural Festival in New England. It has become an annual tradition for families. Admission is only a smile.  Join us for the fun!

Danbury celebrates Portuguese Day Sunday with a flag raising at 8:15am at the John Perry Soccer Field in Roger’s Park, a Holy Mass at Immaculate Heart Church of Mary, 149 Deer Hill Ave, a parade stepping off at 10:15am from the church and a Picnic and concert at the Portuguese Cultural Center, 65 Sand Pit Road.  The Sons of Portugal Marching Band, folklore dancers, traditional children’s games, music and dancing!

Relay for Life Plainville/Bristol is Saturday and Sunday at Norton Park, Plainville. There will be food, music, dancing, theme laps, Zumba, a Talent Show, and goats, yes ICU Medical will be bringing the infamous Therapy Goats and at 2:45pm you can walk a lap with the goats! Throughout the day the Main Stage will have some great local entertainment, at 12:15 local band Fire Hazard, Zumba at 1:30, Dance Inc. ,at 4:45, Gear Jammers band 5:30, Dance Expressions at 7:15 and Bottom Line Band at 7:45. DJ Music by Devin Yazmer will keep the theme laps in step during the day. Come out and join the Relay Teams honor those who have survived, those who are still fighting and remember those we lost to cancer. The Survivor & Caregiver Ceremony will be begin at 4:00 p.m. and at 9:20 the Remembrance Ceremony will begin, 9:30 to 10:00 the Silent Laps and Torch Lighting ceremony at 9:30 pm and the Remembrance Lap at 9:45. We will Relay around the clock and Closing ceremony will be Sunday at 9am. Team PUMC, Prospect UnitedMethodist, will have a Harry Potter Themed booth selling magical cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cookies and biscotti with flavored coffee and tea. The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport has opened for the season with ziplines and climbing.

The Adventure Park, 2007 Storrs Rd in Storrs is open.  Enjoy ziplining and climbing to high energy music and colorful glowing lights on Glow in the Park Nights. The 9 trails at The Adventure Park consist of various challenges in the trees, including bridges, tightropes, ladders, and 26 ziplines.  Non-climbing participants are admitted free of charge to share the experience on the ground and enjoy the property’s nature trails, picnic tables and community firepit.
