A recent study found that the board game that causes the most family fights is non other than the classic game Monopoly.
Apparently the high stakes of battling over Atlantic City real estate is just too competitive for some. Throw in a luxury tax, the risk of going to jail or what's in that community chest, and the competition can be too much to take.
The study found that 20% of people have banned the game in their homes for causing too many arguments on family game night. The respondents named Monopoly as the game that causes the most friction, from someone quitting because they're losing, to accusations of cheating, or other arguments among the participants.
