Board Member Janet Dember (Chair for the Litchfield walk) from Ct Chapter American Foundation for Suicide Prevention discusses their mission is to save lives and support those affected by suicide. Their team of staff and volunteers across the country is working on accomplishing this mission through direct education, state and federal advocacy, loss and healing support for anyone affected by suicide, and being the #1 private funder of suicide prevention research in the world.
Janet details their Out of the Darkness Walk. This Community event is AFSP's signature fundraising series. It brings together friends, families and supporters in more than 400 communtities nationwide.
