Last week, Beli listed its top-rated 12 ice cream and gelato places in the country, naming Ferris Acres Creamery of Newtown as the number one pick. This ranking isbased on more than 100 million ratings on the Beli website.
This ranking comes at an ideal time, as Ferris Acres reopens May 5 for the 2026 season!
The creamery is known for unique flavors like Elvis Dream, with vanilla icecream with peanut butter, banana, and dark chocolate chunks; and Bada Bing, analmond and chocolate ice cream with dark chocolate chunks and Bing cherries.
Ferris Acres has been around since 2003, but the family-owned farm has been inoperation since 1864.
The shop also made it to Yelp’s 100 Top U.S. Ice Cream Shopslist in 2023, and was named to Thrillist’s list of the 40 Best Ice Cream Shops in the U.S. in 2022.
