According to a post from her manager, Guy Oseary, on Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a "serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU.” Guy adds, “Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.”
“At this time," the post continues, “we will need to pause all commitments," including her forthcoming tour dates, which were scheduled to begin on July 15 in Vancouver, BC. "We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows,” the post concludes.
According to Page Six, Madonna was intubated for at least one night, and is now out of the ICU, alert, and in recovery with her daughter Lourdes by her side the entire time.
