Maren Morris won the Academy of Country Music Award for Female Artist of the Year for the 2nd year in a row last night in Nashville. In addition, Morris won as a songwriter for Song of the Year for her hit The Bones. She also won that award at the CMA's last fall, becoming the first artist in 7 years to claim that prize on both awards shows. Lee Brice did it last in 2014 for his hit song I Drive Your Truck.
Morris was also nominated for Single of the Year for The Bones, but lost out to Brice and Carly Pearce for their duet I Hope Your Happy Now.
