Back in February, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban made a decision to no longer play the Star-Spangled Banner prior to NBA games at their home arena. So, Texas legislators decided to pass a law making it mandatory,

The “Star Spangled Banner Act," requires the National Anthem to be played before all professional sports games in Texas. Any team that doesn't comply will give up their funding and business relationship with the state.

The bill now heads to Governor Greg Abbott's desk where it is expected to be signed into law.
